On Saturday, I had plans to meet up with my daughter-in-law, Erin, and my granddaughter, Dylan. We met at the farmers market held at 400 Rich Street. This was the first one for 2013. What a nice one it was. Being held at a building full of artists, there was a lot of art mixed in with the farmers market.
I made my mind up that I would just go and look, and not really buy. Well, that did not work out so well.....Needless to say, I had a bag full of goodies when I left!
It was a good time....
Next, I drove on to my cousin Leslie's house. She had made an appointment for us to have a "Spa day." This was in honor of my 50th birthday, back in 2011. We had both been so busy, it was hard to schedule. It came at a much needed time.
I began with a pedicure. Leslie cannot stand to have anyone touch her feet, so she sat with me while I had mine done. I picked out a luscious color, kind of rusty brown with sparkles. I just love sparkles.
After I had a nice pedicure on my feet, we moved on to a room where we both had a body massage. This was my first. How nice it was. I have to say though, that being my first I am a little sore today. This is too be expected with the deep tissue massage....
Anyway, it was a nice day. I really think if more people could afford to have massages done, there would be less violence and tension in the world.
After going home to take a nap, we had a date night with the cousins. Nice dinner at Ted's and then on to the movies to see, "A Haunted House." It was definitely a funny movie, but one that should only be seen by adults. Not a kid movie!
Today, we had plans to go to Lancaster to the gun shooting range with our son. We drove all the way out there to find out it was too crowded. The wait would be too long.
So, out next stop was to Trader Joe's to do some grocery shopping. It was pretty crowded, but we managed to get in and out in around an hour. We headed home to fix dinner....
The weather was nice this weekend too. That really helps when you want to be out and about. Good weather makes you feel like doing things....
It will probably be a while before such a weekend will be had again. I always believe enjoy each moment of something special, as you never know when or if you will get to do it again.
Have a great week!
