One of the events I attended this weekend is called "German Village Art Crawl." The price to participate in this event was $20 each for advance purchased tickets, and $25 at the time of the event.
Not only did this price provide you admittance in to the event, but you were given 2 drink tickets, and were able to sample food from many local restaurants.
There were a variety of mediums and styles of artwork for sale. In addition to paintings, there was photography, jewelry, scarves, and more. There were a variety of price points too. Seemed to be a little something for everyone.
I ended up purchasing a few scarves from a local vendor: www.etsy.com/shop/reteescarves . My scarf is in a variety of colors such as browns, oranges, and gold. It was created from an Ed Hardy tshirt.... I just love it. It is so comfortable. I know this because I wore it the very next day! My daughter-in-law benefited from this event, as I bought her a scarf too in a different color scheme and theme...
We continue to walk around. It was such a pleasant evening. I recognized another artist's work. It actually was someone whom I know. We ended up looking around, and of course I had to buy something from her too. My purchase here was a small dandelion painting... I have been collecting art from local artists and friends of mine, with the intent of hanging them all together throughout my house. You can visit Kelly's work here: www.klzart.com .
After visiting the art crawl we ended our evening at The Columbus Brewing Company. It is located in the brewery district. They have good food. It was a great place to wind down the evening sharing a nice meal and some great laughs with family.... After a great weekend comes Monday!
