Cirque Du Soleil

Tonight I had the opportunity to attend a Cirque Du Soleil show at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. My husband has seen similar shows on television and has wanted to see the show for several years. He was offered free tickets, and he made the decision to jump at the opportunity to finally see it.

Since I work so much, I thought it would be a nice date night for use to spend time together. We had a little detour due to some issues that my husband had going on at work. After those were taken care of, we were still able to eat dinner and get to the show on time.

We had pretty good seats. The arena was a little chilly, but tolerable. It was a very colorful show. The show is put on with very little English being spoken. Amazingly, you still are able to follow the show without understanding what has been said.

The music is really neat throughout the show. It definitely sets the mood and adds to the show. The woman who performs the majority of the singing has a lovely voice. I could listen to her for hours.

The show is unique from what we think a circus should be like. There is dancing, singing, and acrobatics being performed, similar to a regular circus. The main difference you will find is the lack of animals being in the show. The acrobatics performed are just crazy good. I cannot imagine being able to do anything even remotely close to what they do. They are definitely very talented.

I would recommend seeing this show if you have the opportunity. I am not really sure it is a good show to take small children to. There is not anything that would not be appropriate for children, but really is not like the circus we are familiar with as being a child.

If you see it, let me know what you think!
